Weight of the World is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of young people. Since our incorporation in April 2010, our primary objective has been to assist and educate obese and at-risk youth through exciting and engaging health and fitness programs. We believe that physical fitness is a form of preventative medicine, and we're passionate about filling the void left by the lack of quality physical education classes and after-school programs nationwide.
At Weight of the World, we're all about creating a fun and inclusive environment where kids can thrive. Through our dynamic initiatives, we aim to inspire children to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. From epic Fitness Fun Days to interactive workshops, we design programs that instill confidence, discipline, and a love for staying active in the young minds and hearts we touch.
Join us on this exciting journey of fitness and empowerment. Together, we can make a lasting difference and shape a brighter future for our youth. Weight of the World is proud to be a 501(c)(3) organization, and with your support, we can continue to transform lives through fitness, fun, and friendship. Let's come together, have a great time, and help our kids become the best versions of themselves!
Mental Health
At Weight of the World, we recognize the vital connection between physical fitness and mental well-being in children. Our fitness non-profit goes beyond promoting physical health; we understand that nurturing mental health is equally important for the overall well-being of young individuals.
physical fitness
We firmly believe that exercise is key to preventing various health risks associated with a sedentary lifestyle and obesity. By offering non-competitive, motivational, educational, and fun fitness programs, we encourage children to make healthy lifestyle choices and reduce their chances of developing conditions such as coronary heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and cancer.
Personal development
At Weight of the World, we are committed to fostering personal development in children through our comprehensive programs. We provide a nurturing environment that encourages discipline, goal-setting, and self-improvement. Through our fitness and health initiatives, we empower children to develop confidence, resilience, and a positive mindset. By instilling the values of teamwork, perseverance, and self-care, we equip them with essential life skills that extend beyond the realm of physical fitness.
Fundraising
Weight of the World strives to educate parents, teachers, and children about the simplicity of incorporating physical activity into their daily lives, and the positive impact it can have on mental and physical health. By fundraising for this cause, we can organize workshops, lunch-and-learn sessions, community events, and various other initiatives. These efforts will significantly contribute to our mission of reducing childhood obesity and ensuring that children have an enjoyable experience while engaging in physical activities.
Community events
Weight of the World has already achieved significant milestones, notably through our successful annual Fitness Fun Day, which jump-started our efforts to address the lack of quality physical education nationwide. We are committed to maintaining this momentum and striving for excellence. To expand our impact, we actively seek partnerships with professionals and organizations who share our mission.
With the support of the community, we envision a range of impactful events and initiatives. These include informative workshops, seminars, and fitness clinics that educate parents, teachers, and children on the importance of physical fitness and its positive effects on overall well-being. Additionally, we aim to collaborate with local businesses, community centers, and schools to organize community fitness events that foster unity and promote active lifestyles. By working together, we can empower youth, inspire healthier choices, and make a lasting difference in the lives of children nationwide.
